Synopsis
Once-popular music video director Kolya grows weary of commerce and decides to finally take up some real art. Keeping in mind the words of his predecessor Fassbinder, “if you can’t change the world, then you should at least describe it,” Kolya sets out to explore various aspects of reality. He decides to create a movie to represent all of his experiences and revelations, but how much freedom for this venture does he have?
Kolya tries to uncover the essence of reality by taking part in amusing situations with different people, but ends up destroying the world as he knows it. Very soon Kolya comes to find that he is not the one filming the movie, rather, he is the one being filmed.
Who is this manipulator? A Scientist? A Doctor? Or maybe the Devil himself?
Dreadful hallucinations and genius discoveries await Kolya, and in order to keep himself and his family alive while remaining sane, he needs to find the essence of reality.
