RWS Company Is Finishing “Stray Angel” (aka “Shalnoi Angel”) TV-Series Shooting

RWS (Russian World Studios) Company is finishing “Stray Angel” (aka “Shalnoi Angel”) TV-project shooting. Final scenes of the TV-series were performed near Ostankino TV tower.

Moscow weather turned out to be an ally of the film crew on the last shooting day. The sun was shining from the TV tower side which helped to make the final shots colorful and bright.

According to the screenplay one of the characters lets a bunch of multicolored balloons go in the sky. When the balloons were delivered to the film set a lot of curious passer-byes gathered around the TV center. Some of them even managed to get a balloon signed by a celebrity.

The actors told that they felt somewhat sad because the shooting was coming to an end and they had already become like a family. Leading actors are sure that their hard work hasn’t been for nothing and they have made a very good film.

“Stray Angel” is a thrilling twenty-episode TV-series about a mother and her daughter, who not knowing that they are related become bitter enemies because they have fallen in love with the same man. They will have to overcome a lot, go through life challenges and struggle not only for love, but for life as well. Svetlana Khodchenkova plays the protagonist Alyona Nekrasova, a young, delicate and carefree girl. Alyona is sure that she has everything to be the happiest person in the world: a good job, faithful friends, and her soulmate whom she is going to marry soon. And it is not a big deal that her father used to be a robber – no one is going to learn that. This is what Alyona thought, but fate had other planes for her…

“I just adore Alyona. She is one of my favorite roles. Alyona is a kind and sensitive person, pure soul. She seems vulnerable but, in fact, she is able to stand up for herself. She is a complicated person and life has been hard for her. She will have to steal and serve time in jail. I haven’t had roles like that before. By the way, we are the same age and I was usually offered to play characters that are older than me. She looks like an angel, all airy, delicate, tender and loving, however, she is capable of doing something crazy. I mean all those robberies,” – Svetlana Khodchenkova tells about her role.

Alexander Bukharov plays Alexander Khabarov, a detective in “Stray Angel”. It is his heart that both mother and daughter are trying to steal.

“It’s my first role in TV-series. I’ve received some offers before but, in my opinion, all of them were low quality. The protagonist in this project appealed to me. Apart from the fact that I’ve never had such roles before, Alexander is a well-developed character. It is not just a stereotypical, flat character, on the contrary, it’s a complex, many-sided one,” – said Alexander Bukharov.

Lyubov Tolkalina plays Valentina Muromtseva, a well-known TV-host, who tries to hide her vulnerability and loneliness behind the mask of an “iron lady”.
“I got really lucky with the partners in this project: Alexander Bukharov, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Ivan Okhlobystin. This is a great cast!

Playing Svetlana Khodchenkova’s mother was the most difficult. In reality I’m just a few years older than her and in the TV-series – seventeen years older. That’s why make-up artists did everything to make me look older: they drew dark shadows under my eyes, put my hair up, and dressed me in business suits,” – told us Lyubov Tolkalina.

Such People’s Artists of Russia as Emmanuil Vitorgan and Tatiana Dogileva, as well as Ivan Okhlobystin, Nikolai Dobrynin, Maria Yakovleva, and Sergey Astkhov participated in the RWS TV-series.

Audience will be able to watch a new thrilling film “Stray Angel” in a new season, on one of the central Russian TV-channels.
