On Thursday, 5th of June, film production company Russian World Studios invited journalists to spend an evening together with the “Love” (aka “Lyub.OFF”) project’s creative group in Bauman Park.

Mass media representatives had an opportunity to visit the shooting of the first film scenes, in which Mikhail (Alexey Chadov) and Marina (Ekaterina Vilkova), the protagonists, meet. Marina is a stunning beautiful young woman, a student of the Acting Faculty of the Theatrical Institution. According to the script she takes a part in the “Golden Key” play, where she plays Malvina. The rehearsal takes place in the park, but a boy Misha (Mark Rumyantsev), who came along with Marina, causes a small fire. During the emergency break Marina is trying to come up with something entertaining so that the mischievous boy does not cause any more troubles. She meets Mikhail Vorobyov, who is also in a bad mood, sitting all alone on a park bench. She asks him to look after the boy. It doesn’t even cross Marina and Mikhail’s minds that this is their destiny and that they will have to go through many difficulties in the future. Mikhail doesn’t even recognize either Marina or Misha when he sees them next time: first time they met in the park Marina was dressed as Malvina and was wearing a wig, while Misha was begrimed after the fire he had caused. Mark Rumyantsev said that it wasn’t really easy to act in this scene because he had to manage the matches himself and the fire he started according to the script was real, although everyone thought that it was not burning.

After the scene shooting was over the journalists were invited to have a meal with the film crew; Alexander Kott, the director, and the leading actors, Alexey Chadov, Roman Shmakov and Vera Sotnikova joined them in order to answer some questions and tell about the work on the project.

Aleksey Chadov

Alexey Chadov said that acting in the “Love” film was one of the most interesting experiences in his life: “Mikhail Vorobyov is one of the few unconventional roles that I’ve got to play. It’s worth fighting for such an opportunity!”

“Love” (aka “Lyub.OFF”) is a film about love triangle relationship among people of different ages involving Sergei, whom I’m playing, Marina and Mikhail,” – said Roman Shmakov.

According to Vera Sotnikova, everyone got on with each other pretty quickly. As she says, it is a rare opportunity to work with such a talented, friendly and professional team. Every proposal is discussed and it is rejected only if there are objective reasons for doing so. A work-friendly atmosphere is a very important thing for her, as for any other actress, and this is exactly what has been created at the “Love” (aka “Lyub.OFF”) shooting.

Alexander Kott, the director, and Vladimir Bashta, who is considered one of the best director of photography so far, have built up a strong professional alliance. A brilliant cast and a great film crew are working on the film. It can be said that “Love” (aka “Lyub.OFF”) will turn out as a remarkable film which the audience will definitely like and it won’t leave anyone indifferent. The film is based on the “Year of Deception” novel by a well-known and popular writer Andrey Gelasimov who wrote the film script as well.
