About the show:
“A wife comes home one day only to find her husband with…” This is the setup of many funny jokes. Unfortunately, such situations aren’t as funny in real life.

Valentina (Larisa Savankova), a faithful wife and a diligent housekeeper, catches her husband of twenty years, a grocery empire owner (Aleksandr Peskov), red-handed with his sexy assistant (Anna Lutseva).
That rich jerk does not even consider explaining himself and hiding his feelings for the young beauty. Actually he is quite happy since he is sick and tired of living with his aged wife. Valentina has parted with illusions of having a happily married life and agrees to get divorced but demands her share of their property and business.

Her unfaithful husband carelessly accepts these terms and assigns her an unprofitable chain of bakeries having no regrets. He has no idea that this obedient housewife possesses a brilliant entrepreneurial talent. With the help of her three friends, a single mom Anastasia (Irina Sotnikova), and two girls just out of college, Polina (Anastasia Dyukova) and Rita (Anna Arefyeva), Valentina manages not only to save the business from bankruptcy but to make it profitable. However, not everyone is happy for the success of these shrewd and talented women.

Will these four start-up entrepreneurs manage to win in all fields? Will they manage to find personal happiness and prove that they are able to be not only faithful wives and passionate lovers but to run their own business in the world that lives according to men’s tough rules?

In July 2009 the work on “A Woman’s Word” was continued on RWS St. Petersburg studio. The first 40 episodes were shot in fall 2008.
