Indian Journalists Visited the RWS Studio

Indian journalists visited the RWS studio on 10th April, 2008. Representatives of the largest media publications and of the two Indian TV channels arrived to Russia to get acquainted with the main JSFC “Sistema” business lines. Access to the Indian media market is currently one of the Sistema’s key development strategies.

During the visit Evgeny Leyn, Head of Production, talked about the plans to establish business relations with some of the Indian film companies, about being interested in India and about a new project called “Indian” (aka “Indus”). The team visited seven working studios and two backlots, where several projects were being filmed: “The Champion”, “Hot Ice” (aka “Jarky Lyod”), “Bolshoy Fitil”, “Detective Brothers”, and auditions for such projects as “Umnitsa - Krasavitsa” and “House on Ozernaya Street” (aka “Dom na Ozernoy”) were being held. Therefore, the journalists could see for themselves how Russian “Bollywood” works. Evgeny Leyn and Irina Ulanova, VP and Head of Property Department, answered the questions about technical facilities and the results RWS had already achieved. The atmosphere of the meeting was warm, friendly and relaxed.
