“Zona” passes the torch to “Atlantis” in Azerbaijan

The main news and broadcasting company in Azerbaijan, ANS have decided to continue collaboration with RWS after a huge success of “Zona” in the territory, and acquired “Atlantis” (40 ő 46 min.) for the new autumn TV season.

According to Rashad Mammadov, ANS Chief of Programming Department, this is the first time in 18-year-long ANS history that a season will be opened with a Russian-produced TV-series. This decision was taken owing to a huge success of another RWS project, “Zona”, in Azerbaijan.

““Zona” is now being shown on ANS channel in prime-time, because it has provoked very positive reaction of the audience; many viewers are eager to see the continuation of the series,” Rashad Mammadov comments. “Not many Russian series are shown in Azerbaijan, and the interest in them is starting to arise. We are happy we have chosen RWS for our first acquisition deal with Russia. The company have proved itself as a reliable partner and supported our anti-piracy activities in regard of illegal “Zona” DVDs distribution. We believe our companies will continue to collaborate in future.”
