About Russian World Studios:

Russian World Studios (RWS), founded in 1998, is one of the largest film and television production companies in the Russian market, and among the leaders in film production services. By 2010 RWS has produced and/or serviced several hundreds of TV and film projects, including services for some of the world’s best known international entertainment companies, including Sony Pictures Television International, Hallmark Entertainment, HBO Films, and Beacon Pictures.
RWS operates two studios, in Moscow and in St. Petersburg, providing a full range of top-quality film production services. The studio in St. Petersburg, launched in October 2008, is the first dedicated film studio built in Russia during the past sixty years, and it adheres to the highest industry standards. In 2009 a certified state-of-the-art Dolby Premier Studio, 15th in the world, was added to the RWS St. Petersburg studio complex.
The RWS Distribution Department, which sells film and TV series rights on the international market, has developed collaboration with the largest broadcast networks in Russia and the CIS, among which are Channel One (Russia), Channel Russia (Russia), CTC (Russia), 1+1 (Ukraine), Channel 9 (Israel) and others, which has become the key factor of rapid and stable growth of distribution. The company currently holds more than 1 500 hours of diverse content; including in-house projects, co-productions, and third party productions. The RWS catalogue offers a wide range of products in various genres and formats including TV series, feature films and television movies.
Being among the most rapidly growing companies in the industry, RWS intends to establish itself as a fully integrated company in the Russian market.
Since 2007 RWS has been a subsidiary of JSFC “Sistema,” the largest diversified holding company in Russia.
